二、The ceremony of bio-technology prize Taipei, 2005 was held at the International Conference Center, on Oct. 14. Cistanche Tubulosa from Sinphar Pharmaceutical Company was nominated. The comment members gave high appraisement to this product and an prize of Excellent Commercialized Technique was awarded to it.


Ying-jeou Ma,the mayor of Taipei city gave the″Technology Commercialization Award″to Muh-Hwan Su ,the chief scientific officer of research and development center.They were taking pictures together.

三、The 3rd forum of Cistanche and desert medicinal herb

The 3rd forum of Cistanche and desert medicinal herb was held at Yuhang Distract, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, from May 21 to May 23 2005. The forum was hosted by Sinphar Tian-li Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and assisted by Chinese Herb Modern Research Center, Beijing University,Bureau of Science and Technology, Hetian Distract, Xinjiang Province, and Administration Committee of New High-tech Garden, Yuhang, Zhejiang Province.

The forum provided a stage for academic communication and cooperation between the researchers and enterprises engaging in Cistanche all over the world. They shared the information and resources and got mutual benefit from the forum. The participants accepted that Cistanche has been successfully applied in clinical practice and new indications are expanding. It is not only used to treat senile dementia, neurasthenia, to strengthen the Kidney Yang, but also to improve sexual function, to prevent tumor and to increase immunity.

四、 A certificate of National Class 2 New Chinese Medicine and an approval for manufacture were awarded to Capsule Cistanche Glucosides in April 2005.

五、 Capsule Cistanche Glucosides was listed in the projects sponsored by the Fund of New Medicine in the National 9th 5 Year Plan.

九、 Cistanche Tubulosa was recorded in the National Pharmacopoeia of PRC 2005.

十、 Sinphar Tian-li Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Hangzhou) together with Chinese Herb Modern Research Center, Beijing University and Hetian Desert Herb Developing Co. Ltd. Xinjiang, founded the first Cistanche institute in Hetian County, Xinjiang province.
